Softball Recap: Woodward Takes a Loss

Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to the Waite Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 on Monday.

Georgia Chene was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Pasco, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.

Woodward's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Waite, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coincidentally, Woodward and Waite will both be playing Rogers the next time they take the field. The Polar Bears will head out to face the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
