Volleyball Game Preview: Vanguard College Prep Lions vs. Lodi Academy Titans

The Vanguard College Prep Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Lodi Academy Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Vanguard College Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Varsity Opponent, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Vanguard College Prep was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-6, 25-8, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Lodi Academy entered their tilt with Humphreys Able Charter on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Legacy.

Lodi Academy never let Humphreys Able Charter on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Lodi Academy's win came from a few key players Vanguard College Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Han Rocky, who had 18 digs. Another player making a difference was Cedric Johnson, who had ten digs and two assists.

Vanguard College Prep now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lodi Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
