P.K. Yonge was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Countryside Christian Minutemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  on Thursday.
 P.K. Yonge took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 19-25, 25-19,  15-6.
 Countryside Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ella Emerick led the charge by  getting 13  kills and five  aces. Those  five  aces gave  Emerick a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Vanessa Colon, who  had seven  aces.
P.K. Yonge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Countryside Christian,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-9.
 P.K. Yonge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  loss against Oak Hall on the 30th. As for Countryside Christian, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  win against Riverside Christian on the 2nd.
