Volleyball Recap: Cass Tech Takes a Loss

Cass Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Technicians of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Cass Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Notre Dame Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cass Tech and Notre Dame Prep will both be playing Rochester the next time they take the court. The Technicians will host the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Fighting Irish will play them later in the day, at 8:30 p.m.
