Chesnee proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Landrum Cardinals, sneaking past 3-2. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Chesnee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 17-25, 25-11, 25-22, 16-14.

Dacie Green paced Chesnee's offense, picking up 16 kills. Green got some help from Abbie Olson and her 18 assists. Maggie Foy controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Chesnee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Landrum, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.

Chesnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Greenville Tech Charter on the 16th. As for Landrum, they have also already played their next game, a 1-1 tie against Blue Ridge on the 13th.
