Tucker County won the last time they faced Tygarts Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mountain Lions were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountain Lions.

Tucker County let Ava Shaffer and Sutton Pase run wild. Shaffer went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles, while Pase went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Bennett, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tucker County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tucker County picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Tygarts Valley, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tucker County will square off against Pendleton County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcat will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something the Mountain Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tygarts Valley, they will take on Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
