Football Recap: Leake Academy Gets the Win

Leake Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Tri-County Academy. They slipped by Tri-County Academy 25-24. This was a revenge game for Leake Academy: when they faced off against Tri-County Academy back in October, they had to take a 52-18 defeat.

George Wilcox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 219 yards and one TD. Those 162 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the third in a row for Leake Academy, bringing their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points over those games. As for Tri-County Academy, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.

As of now, neither Leake Academy nor Tri-County Academy have any future games scheduled.
