Frontier dropped their record down to 7-2 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 12-4 to the Rossville Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 22, 2024.

As for Rossville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

For Rossville's part, AJ Kelley and AJ Caplinger did most of the damage at the plate: Kelley went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Caplinger went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave Kelley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Levi Darnell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Frontier will face off against Twin Lakes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rossville, they will challenge McCutcheon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
