Baseball Recap: McNairy Central Comes Up Short

McNairy Central was the 13-3 winner over Jackson North Side when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.

Kendall Kiestler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI. Heisman Gray also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

McNairy Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Jackson North Side, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as McNairy Central Bobcats take on Bolivar Central Tigers at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson North Side, they will take on Dyersburg at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday.
