Soccer Recap: Redwood Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tulare Union two weeks ago, Redwood came back down to earth. The Redwood Rangers fell just short of the Buchanan Bears by a score of 1-0 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Bears are ranked 11th).

Redwood now has a losing record at 3-4-4. As for Buchanan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1.

Redwood will face off against Liberty at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Buchanan, they will challenge Ridgeview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buchanan's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Ridgeview's offense will have their work cut out for them.
