Baker won the last time they faced Bryant and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hurricanes 42-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 143rd).
Tate Graham had an outrageously good game as he threw for 346 yards and six touchdowns on only 19 passes. Those 346 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Baker's leading receiver Joshua Jones was Graham's top target yet again, picking up 141 receiving yards and three scores.
Despite the loss, Bryant saw an underclassman step up: freshman Christian Thompson rushed for 76 yards, and also caught one TD.
Baker has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
