Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gilbert Christian walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Knights have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gilbert Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Odyssey Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1.

Coming up, Gilbert Christian will face off against Seton Catholic on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.2, the Sentinels 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Odyssey Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
