Basketball Recap: Castle Skates Past Boonville with Ease

Castle won the last time they faced Boonville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Castle Knights claimed a resounding 63-34 win over the Boonville Pioneers. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Pioneers are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Castle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Scott led the charge by going 9 of 14 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Scott, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

As for Boonville, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Castle will challenge Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Castle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
