Recap: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. Anson Bearcats
The Chesterfield Golden Rams had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 53-17 victory over Anson at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chesterfield also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Kierra Diggs went supernova for Chesterfield, almost dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 steals. The match was Diggs' third in a row with at least ten points. Terrahjah Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 4 steals.
Chesterfield pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Anson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Chesterfield will head out on the road to face off against McBee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Anson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
