Preview: Bevier Wildcats vs. Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers
The Bevier Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Bevier was beaten by Marion County 54-17. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bevier in their matchups with Marion County: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Grundy County/Newtown-Harris didn't have too much trouble with Novinger on the road on Friday as they won 61-47. The victory was just what Grundy County/Newtown-Harris needed coming off of a 63-26 loss in their prior match.
Grundy County/Newtown-Harris found their leader in underclassman Kinsley Allnutt, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 17 rebounds. Allnutt is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landry Oaks, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Bevier to 1-1 and Marion County to 3-0.
