Football Recap: Sunbright Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sunbright fell victim to Cosby and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 30-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

Leading Cosby to victory were Gage McCarty and David Baker. McCarty rushed for 129 yards and one TD on only nine carries, while Baker rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Baker has posted since back in August.

Sunbright has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Cosby, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sunbright will face off against rival North Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cosby is set to challenge their familiar foe Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 13.2, the Bulldogs 14.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
