Volleyball Recap: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. Springfield Tigers

East Palestine lost against Springfield back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The East Palestine Bulldogs fell just short of the Springfield Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

East Palestine took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Even though they lost, East Palestine was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last seven games.

Springfield can attribute much of their success to Olivia Allen, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Allen has posted in her last seven contests.

East Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Springfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

East Palestine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Valley Christian on the 10th. As for Springfield, they will square off against Jackson-Milton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
