Football Recap: Jonesboro Hurricane vs. Sheridan Yellowjackets
The third road matchup was the charm for Jonesboro, as they earned their first away win of the season. They snuck past the Sheridan Yellowjackets with a 48-42 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hurricane also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Jonesboro had a senior duo take command as Tj Brown gained 133 total yards and four touchdowns and Asa Myers threw for 203 yards and three TDs.

Jonesboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Clarence Mucherson, Jaylen Alexander, and Corien Bullard picked up one apiece. Alexander also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Despite the loss, Sheridan still got an impressive performance from Zay Stephens, who rushed for 146 yards and three scores, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Dax McMellon was another key player, having thrown for 276 yards and onetouchdown.
