Softball Recap: Southern Lehigh Victorious

After losing to Pleasant Valley the last time they met, Southern Lehigh decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Southern Lehigh Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Pleasant Valley Bears on Friday.

Demi Lewis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lila Padden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lewis wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Southern Lehigh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Southern Lehigh's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Lehigh will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Catasauqua at 4:15 p.m. on March 21st. This will be Southern Lehigh's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pleasant Valley, they will take on Saucon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
