Chassell scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 75-65 to the L'Anse Purple Hornets. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

L'Anse found their leader in freshman Sam Lee, who went 13 of 24 en route to 29 points. The contest was Lee's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Davidson, who posted 17 points and five steals.

Chassell's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for L'Anse, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Chassell will venture away from home to challenge Calumet at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. L'Anse has already played their next matchup, an 83-68 defeat against Wakefield on the 17th.
