Football Game Preview: Laverne vs. Cherokee

If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Laverne. On Friday they take on Cherokee at 7:00 PM. The squad will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.

Last Friday, Laverne put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Pioneer-Pleasant Vale 52-6. With Laverne ahead 36-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, we expected Cherokee to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Seiling, and they did. Cherokee ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-38 walloping at Seiling's hands.

Everything came up roses for Laverne against Cherokee the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 60-0 win. Will Laverne repeat their success, or does Cherokee have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
