Coronado is 9-1 against Montwood since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will host the Rams at 6:40 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Coronado was able to grind out a solid win over Pebble Hills, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

Coronado walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Montwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pebble Hills with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

One reason for the win was Montwood's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-22, 25-19.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Montwood, their victory bumped their record up to 22-9.

Coronado was able to grind out a solid win over Montwood in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
