Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Violet Jacoby and Riley Swann Lead Cotopaxi to Victory + How To Watch

Cotopaxi waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Antonito Trojans by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Antonito scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 26-24, 25-18.

Cotopaxi was led to victory by Riley Swann and Violet Jacoby. Swann had 28 digs, while Jacoby had 28 digs, six kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Jacoby has posted since back in October of 2024.

Cotopaxi's record is now 6-7. As for Antonito, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Cotopaxi is taking a road trip to face off against South Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Antonito will be paying especially close attention to the Pirates' contest: after the Pirates face off against Centennial, they'll take on Antonito again at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th.
