Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Donovan Dabney and Noah Gloor Lead Higley to Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Higley had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-54 win over the Mountain Pointe Pride. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Pride: they've now won three in a row.

Higley was led to victory by Noah Gloor and Donovan Dabney. Gloor went 11-for-17 on his way to 27 points and six boards, while Dabney almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. The match was Gloor's 11th in a row with at least 16 points. Austin Turner was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Higley's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Mountain Pointe, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

Coming up, Higley will venture away from home to square off against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Connor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Higley likes a good challenge. Mountain Pointe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
