Football Recap: Merrimack Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Merrimack Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the ConVal Cougars. The Pride were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Jack Parris threw for 27 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Ian Miller rushed for 87 yards.

Merrimack Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for ConVal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrimack Valley will welcome Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ConVal, they will challenge Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
