Baseball Recap: Nevada Union Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

While Nevada Union didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 19-2 margin over the River Valley Falcons on Tuesday. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Isaac Arnerich made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Nevada Union got a massive performance out of Jayce Gross, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Xavier Deniz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Nevada Union hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Nevada Union pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for River Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nevada Union will welcome Del Campo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for River Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Twelve Bridges at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. River Valley has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
