High Point Christian Academy came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Aquinas Institute Little Irish.

HUNTER KELLEY tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

High Point Christian Academy's record now sits at 16-5. As for Aquinas Institute, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

High Point Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Geneseo on the 17th. As for Aquinas Institute, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Little Irish will no doubt try to take advantage of.
