Softball Recap: Waynedale Takes a Loss

Waynedale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwestern Huskies, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 last Tuesday.

Kendall Rising was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Waynedale's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Northwestern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Waynedale will venture away from home to square off against Chippewa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chipps have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.71 runs per game on average), something the Golden Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Western Brown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
