Basketball Recap: Chavez Comes Up Short

Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Poly Parrots, falling 100-23. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1365th, while the Parrots are ranked 392nd).

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Poly, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Chavez will face off against Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Poly has already played their next matchup (against North Hollywood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
