It was a good run, but Servite unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 59-55 to the Esperanza Aztecs.

Despite the defeat, Servite saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carlos Galvan posted 14 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Saiger Smith, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points.

Servite's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Esperanza, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Servite will take on Dana Hills in a tournament on Monday. As for Esperanza, they will be taking part in a tournament against Los Altos at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Aztecs will need to watch out since the Conquerors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
