Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cyprus). They came out on top against the Granger Lancers by a score of 53-45 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won eight in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cyprus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabby Morfin, who posted 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Morfin a new career-high in blocks (two). Calee Sharp was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Cyprus' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-16. As for Granger, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Cyprus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-34 defeat against West Jordan on the 31st. As for Granger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-27 loss against Kearns on the 31st.
