Soccer Game Preview: Handley vs. Manassas Park

The Handley Judges will venture away from home to take on the Manassas Park Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Handley is headed into Tuesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They came up short against Brentsville District on Tuesday, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that Handley have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Manassas Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to Sherando. While losing is never fun, Manassas Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Sherando are ranked 79th).

Handley's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Manassas Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1.

Everything went Handley's way against Manassas Park in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Handley made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Judges since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
