Volleyball Recap: High Tech Mesa Takes a Loss

High Tech Mesa lost against Mira Mesa back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunder took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marauders. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

High Tech Mesa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

Despite the loss, High Tech Mesa still got an impressive performance from Samaria Baron, who had four digs, four blocks, and two aces. Baron is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Mira Mesa can attribute much of their success to Bailey McBride, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, McBride posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September.

High Tech Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mira Mesa, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11.

High Tech Mesa has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Clairemont on the 3rd. As for Mira Mesa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against High Tech SD on the 3rd.
