Baseball Game Preview: Van Buren Black Knights vs. Ada Bulldogs

The Van Buren Black Knights will head out to take on the Ada Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Van Buren's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.

Van Buren barely beat Lakota the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Black Knights put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Leipsic hit Ada with a 14-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 16-2 to the Vikings. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Wibley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Van Buren pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Ada, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
