Basketball Recap: Owensboro Takes a Loss

Owensboro lost against Daviess County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Owensboro Red Devils took a 75-60 bruising from the Daviess County Panthers. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daviess County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Hoagland, who to rack up 20 points. What's more, Hoagland also posted a 90% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Lane, who en route to 18 points.

Owensboro's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Daviess County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Owensboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Daviess County, they will take on Owensboro Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Owensboro Catholic sitting on three straight victories and Daviess County on nine.
