Soccer Game Preview: Geneva vs. Dale County

The Geneva Panthers will face off against the Dale County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva has given up an average of 6 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Geneva fell victim to Pike County and their airtight defense last Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for Geneva in their meetings with Pike County: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Dale County entered their tilt with New Brockton last Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Gamecocks 5-1. It was an even better day for Cody Jaggers as he scored three goals for his team.

Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dale County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Geneva suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Dale County when the teams last played back in April of 2025. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 5-0.
