Football Recap: Connor Cruz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mooresville over Whiteland

Mooresville managed to slip by Whiteland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pioneers lost 35-14 to the Warriors on Friday. The Pioneers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Cruz, who threw for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards. Tyler Denny was Cruz's top target, picking up 22 receiving yards.

Mooresville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Whiteland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
