Basketball Recap: Guilford Skates Past Rockford East with Ease

Guilford came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 80-5 victory over the Rockford East E-Rabs. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Guilford found their leader in freshman Baylee Sandine, who went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc on her way to 27 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Sandine now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Zariah Burnett, who posted nine points and six steals.

Guilford's win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Rockford East, their defeat was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-27.

Guilford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-45 victory against Belvidere on the 14th. As for Rockford East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-22 loss against Boylan Catholic on the 14th.
