            The Cardinal Stritch Cardinals will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Calvert Senecas  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
It was a proper cat-fight when  Cardinal Stritch duked it out withBowling Green last Monday. Cardinal Stritch lost to Bowling Green at home  by a   44-28 margin. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

 Despite the  defeat, Cardinal Stritch had strong showings from  Morgan Kennedy, who  posted 16  points and five  rebounds, and  Amaya Hill, who  earned eight points and 13  rebounds. Hill is  crushing it when it comes to  rebounds: she's   pulled down at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Calvert came tearing into  Friday's  match with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy  59-40 win over the Wildcats.
Cardinal Stritch better focus on containing  Alyssa Rishty and  Megan Rombach as the pair were huge in Calvert's win. Rishty  went 12 of 28  on her way to 31 points along with five  assists and five  boards, while  Rombach  dropped  a double-double on 14  points and ten  boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which  Rishty has scored at least a third of Calvert's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaleigh Concepcion, who  had five  points and three  steals.
 Calvert  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive boards they've posted since back in January.
 Calvert's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Cardinal Stritch, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Things could have been worse for Cardinal Stritch, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  48-30 loss to Calvert in their previous meeting  back in February. Can Cardinal Stritch avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
