Softball Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Giles County Bobcats
The matchup between Marshall County and Giles County on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went the Marshall County Tigers' way against the Giles County Bobcats as the Marshall County Tigers made off with a 16-6 win. For Marshall County, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 loss Giles County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April.
Demiyah Blackman was a standout: she went 5-for-5 with a home run, four runs, and four RBI. Reese Lentz was another key contributor, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 13-19. As for Giles County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11-1.
