Carson came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Narbonne Gauchos, posting a 50-0 victory. Considering the Colts have won five matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Chris Fields iii had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 200 yards and six touchdowns on only 12 passes. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was Carson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kingston Sula, Curmon Williams, and Bruce Thornton, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Narbonne's side was Sula, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Carson's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Narbonne, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carson will take on San Pedro at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Narbonne, they will challenge Banning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gauchos will be up against the Pilots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
