Baseball Recap: Fruitland Beats Vale for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Fruitland is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Vale. Fruitland was the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over Vale. Considering the Grizzlies have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Fruitland got a massive performance out of Landon Bushong, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Bushong has posted since back in May of 2024. Titus Vidlak was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Fruitland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vale only posted an OBP of .304.

The victory keeps Fruitland at an undefeated 7-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average this season. As for Vale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
