Vail Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Aspen proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Saints 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Aspen was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-107), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Andrea Lee paced Aspen's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lee got some help from Belle Sinclair and her 20 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Aspen's record now sits at 14-4. As for Vail Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Aspen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against North Fork on the 16th. As for Vail Christian, they will be playing at home against West Grand at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
