Volleyball Recap: Clovis Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Clovis had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against the Clovis North Broncos by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Clovis won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23.

Malia Baker paced Clovis' offense, picking up nine kills. Baker got some help from Reina Dvorak and her 20 assists. Finally, Baker was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Clovis' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Clovis North, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Clovis will square off against Kingsburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clovis North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Joaquin Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
