Softball Recap: Bonneville Finds Playoff Glory Versus East

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bonneville walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the East Leopards 13-11. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Bonneville got a massive performance out of Marley Chournos, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. What's more, Chournos posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April. Kaylee McAfee was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bonneville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bonneville's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for East, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 17-11 record.

Bonneville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Leopards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
