Volleyball Recap: Juab Has No Trouble Against Carbon

After losing to Carbon the last time they met, Juab decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wasps blew past the Dinos 3-0 on Tuesday.

Juab was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-19.

Ethan Tuckett was the offensive standout of the contest as he had eight digs and three aces. Those eight digs gave him a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Carbon had strong showings from Grant Mathis, who had nine assists and six digs, and Charles Tima, who had nine digs and two aces. Tima is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Juab is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Carbon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Juab will square off against rival Providence Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carbon is set to take on their familiar foe North Sanpete at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
