Volleyball Recap: Rowlett Comes Up Short

Rowlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Creekview Mustangs.

Creekview can attribute much of their success to Ilania Rodriguez, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Alexis Pebley also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Rowlett's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Creekview, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Coming up, Rowlett will face off against Pine Tree at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Creekview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Garland Christian Academy on the 22nd.
