Baseball Recap: Bishop Blanchet Comes Up Short

Bishop Blanchet was the 3-2 winner over Seattle Prep when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Wednesday.

Bishop Blanchet has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Seattle Prep, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bishop Blanchet will venture away from home to challenge Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Roughriders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Seattle Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Seattle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
