Basketball Game Preview: Rogue River Chieftains vs. La Pine Hawks

The Rogue River Chieftains will face off against the La Pine Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Rogue River and five for La Pine.

Last Friday, Rogue River lost to Etna on the road by a 36-18 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Chieftains came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 245th in Oregon, while the Lions are ranked 800th in California).

Meanwhile, La Pine took a blow against Lakeview on Friday, falling 57-18. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rogue River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for La Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
