Basketball Recap: Lebanon Yellowjackets vs. Glendale Falcons
The Lebanon Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. The game between them and Glendale wasn't particularly close, with Lebanon falling 68-50. While losing is never fun, Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Falcons are ranked 55th).
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Myers, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Bodie Cox was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Glendale, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.
Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Glendale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kickapoo will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
